Definition:

A progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by impaired control of movement attributable to the death of nerve cells in a specific area of the brain.

Parkinson patients lack the neurotransmitter dopamine and experience symptoms such as tremors, muscular rigidity, difficulty in initiating motor activity, and speech impediments.
